The SNIP Team is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, always looking for dedicated, passionate volunteers. We currently need assistance in the following areas:
SNIP Education Staff: The Education Staff run our booths at various locations to help us to educate the public about spay and neuter and sign people up for our low cost program. They are required to be at events 30 minutes prior to start time to set up table and booth. Typically, these events are held on Saturdays or Sundays, approximately 1-2 times a month, and run about 2-3 hours.
Check In Coordinator: Our ‘Check In Coordinators’ are vital to SNIP!! They help during the weekdays with “check in procedures” at our local veterinarians. They assist SNIP clients with filling out their paperwork, reviewing pre op and post op procedures and collecting copayment. ‘Check in Coordinators’ must be punctual and organized. Check in Coordinators are asked to commit to 1 day per week (Monday, Wednesday OR Friday) at 8-9 am for check ins.
Reminder Call Specialist: Perfect for the “at home volunteer”! We need a volunteer who can commit to calling a list of clients 2 days before their scheduled procedure. The call will serve as a reminder, as well as an opportunity to answer any questions. Must report to our “Scheduler” if any clients need to cancel or reschedule. Excellent communication skills and organization needed. Commitment of 2-3 hours per week.
Fundraising Specialist: Do you have a knack for raising money? SNIP Team would love someone to assist our Fundraising Director with upcoming events, like our annual “Wine and Dine” in the fall.
In this country tax-payers spend $1 Billion dollars annually to pick up, house, and euthanize homeless animals. If only 5% of that total were allocated to spay/neuter programs, we could open 250 public, low-cost spay/neuter clinics across the country and sterilize more than 4 Million animals each year.
